Breakup of the week: Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez

Wow, writing these weekly posts makes me realize there are a lot of celebrity couples out there. And good thing for me, a lot of them have been breaking up recently. Something in the water, maybe? People do say that right before the holidays is a prime breakup time. This breakup, however, I kind of saw coming. I mean, celebrity couples that start dating under the age of 20 are just bound to part ways eventually (i.e. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens). It’s unfortunate for sure, but true nonetheless. It doesn’t help when one of the individuals in the relationship is one of the biggest teen heartthrobs out there, and one of the biggest flirts from what I’ve heard.

According to a few sources close to the couple, their busy work schedules and jealousy issues were the cause of their breakup. Apparently their relationship started to go downhill when a picture surfaced of Gomez and her new movie costar making out while filming. Bieber was not happy to say the least. Then, last week, a photo of the Biebs and Victoria Secret model Barbara Palvin surfaced. Selena fans were not pleased to see Bieber with another women and took to Palvin’s Twitter to let her know. Palvin tweeted to defend the photo: “hey everyone. please calm down. he is all yours!! :) please :).” Funny how Bieber fans did the same thing to Gomez when word broke that they were together, and now they’re defending the relationship. I wouldn’t be surprised if crazed Bieber fans were the cause of this breakup.

 “Wow” of the week: People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive Reveal

 The moment all us ladies (and a few men) have been waiting for: People Magazine’s annual Sexiest Man Alive Reveal. And the winner is … drum roll please … Channing Tatum! Now, the “wow” is implied here. I mean, have you seen this man’s abs?! The rest of the men don’t disappoint either, that’s for sure. Blake Shelton, Chris Hemsworth, Max Greenfield, Ben Affleck, Matt Bomer and Bradley Cooper are just some that made the list. I was thinking that after all the controversy last year about Ryan Gosling not winning, that maybe he would take the title this year. But, after Tatum’s amazing year hosting “SNL” and starring in “Magic Mike,” I knew he was a shoo-in for the win.

 According to the Huffington Post, Tatum told People Magazine he was shocked when he won. He said, “My first thought was, ‘Y’all are messing with me.’” Well Channing, they’re not messing with you!
