University Police arrested five people on drug-related charges on Saturday after finding numerous narcotics and cash in a vehicle in the parking garage of Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.

An officer approached the group of men standing around the vehicle in the garage and searched the vehicle after seeing cannabis. The search resulted in the discovery of cocaine, ecstasy, LSD, marijuana, nitrious oxide and $3,000 in cash.

Five men were arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Those arrested were Shaji Ahmed Ali, 24, of Chicago; Marshall F. Giorango, 19, Sam D. Kacerovskis, 19; Thomas P. Rekasius, 20, all of Orland Park; and Ieva Sobulevskyte, 19, of Westmont, Ill.
