State Rep. Naomi Jakobsson (D-103) announced on Monday that she has been appointed to five House of Representatives committees for the 98th General Assembly.

In addition to serving as chairwoman of the House Higher Education Committee, other committee appointments include serving as a member of the Appropriations-Higher Education committee, the Human Services committee, the Environment committee and vice-chair of the House Adoption reform Committee.

“All of my committee assignments allow me the chance to take part in advancing vital legislation as we aim to improve the lives of all of Illinois’ residents,” Jakobsson said in a press release. “Illinois is facing many challenges and once again I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and working to address these issues.”
