Urbana Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Monday night at 1102 E. Colorado Ave.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:34 p.m. and arrived two minutes later to find a male who was shot several times, according to a press release. The victim, identified as Curtis Leshon Mosley, 29, was transported to Carle Foundation Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have learned that a single male forced open the door to the apartment and shot the victim multiple times upon entering. He then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
