Champaign Police is investigating a robbery and aggravated battery case that occurred in the 00 block of Green Street on March 2.
According to a press release, a 20-year-old Parkland College student was pushed into the backseat of a white 4-door Pontiac while walking to a friend’s apartment. He was seated next to two males, with three more males seating in the front of the car.
The victim was battered and also had an undisclosed amount of cash stolen from him. He was then thrown out of the vehicle as it approached Mattis Avenue and Springer Drive.
The victim described the suspects as black males, appearing to be under 20 years old, dressed in dark clothing. All of the suspects appeared to be approximately 5’9 inches tall. One of the men in the back seat wore a red and white Chicago Blackhawks hat.
