Illinois State Police, assisted by Champaign Police, issued 35 citations during an Operation Campus/Tap detail at campus bars and campus area streets in the late evening hours of March 29.

During the detail, four citations were issued at Red Lion, 12 citations were issued at The Clybourne, 14 citations were issued at Joe’s Brewery, three citations were issued at White Horse Inn and two citations were issued on campus area streets.

The purpose of the Operation Campus/Tap program is to reduce and deter underage drinking in Illinois.
