An Operation Campus/Tap detail was conducted by the Illinois State Police on Wednesday.

A total of 33 citations were issued by the ISP and Champaign police. Of the citations, 29 were for possession/purchase of alcohol, one for sale/delivery to a minor and three for possession on public property/business parking lots.

During the detail, bar checks were conducted at six bar locations and campus area streets in Champaign County. Three citations were issued at Joe’s Brewery, six at It’s Brothers, nine at Red Lion, six at The Clybourne, three at White Horse Inn, three at Firehaus and three on campus area streets.

Operation Campus/Taps are conducted by the Illinois State Police and the Champaign Police Department in an effort to reduce and deter underage drinking in Illinois.
