The Champaign Police Department is investigating two cases of aggravated battery that occurred Tuesday. No suspects have been identified in either case.
The first incident occurred at 8:25 p.m. The victim, a 20-year-old female, reported that she was struck by a blow dart in her left forearm while she was crossing John Street on the east side of Fourth Street. She received treatment for her injury at a local hospital.
The second case of aggravated battery occurred at 10 p.m. A 35-year-old male reported being struck by a blow dart in his left forearm. The incident occurred in the 300 block of south First Street while the victim was walking eastbound on the north side of Springfield Avenue and crossing First Street. He immediately pulled the dart out and sought medical treatment.
