The Illinois State Police and the Champaign Police Department conducted an Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement covert detail on Sept. 28 at bars and campus street areas in Champaign County.
A total of 49 citations were issued by the ISP and Champaign police. Of the 49 citations, 11 were issued at KAM’S, 11 at Joe’s Brewery, seven at It’s Brothers, three at Fire Haus, three at Red Lion, nine at White Horse Inn, four at The Clybourne and one on campus area streets.
The citations were given for possession/purchase of alcohol by a minor, possession of alcohol on public property/business parking lots and unlawful use of identification.
Another ACE covert detail was conducted on Oct. 18 and resulted in a total of 35 citations. Of the 35 citations, eight were issued at The Clybourne, seven at Joe’s Brewery, four at KAM’S, five at Red Lion, five at It’s Brother’s, three at Whitehorse Inn and three on campus area streets.
The citations were given for possession/purchase of alcohol by a minor, possession of alcohol on public property and business parking lots, announcement by license, resisting arrest/obstructing justice and public urination.
