Champaign
— Theft was reported in the 200 block of East John Street around 1 p.m. Friday.
According to the report, unknown suspects cut and removed exterior copper lines from Lanz Heating and Cooling, a building that is under construction.
— Battery was reported near Fourth and John streets around 4 a.m. Saturday.
According to the report, a 40-year-old man reported he was battered by an unknown male. No arrests have been made.

— Criminal damage property was reported in the 500 block of Stoughton Street around 1 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the report, the car’s window was damaged and one auto part and accessory were stolen. No arrests have been made.
University
— A 21-year-old male was arrested on the charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without a license near Third and Healey streets at 2 a.m. Thursday.
According to the report, the man was initially pulled over for failing to activate his headlights.
— A student’s laptop was stolen from an unattended seminar room at the Beckman Institute, 405 N. Matthews Ave., Urbana, at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the report, the student estimates his laptop is worth approximately $2,700. No arrests have been made.
Urbana
— Domestic battery was reported in the 1500 block of Romine Street around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the report, the offender and victim are in a relationship. The two were involved in a verbal argument while driving, and when the offender exited the vehicle, he threw a cup of liquid at the victim’s face.
— Theft was reported in the 900 block of Linview Avenue at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the report, the unknown offenders fled a taxi without paying the fare and were not located.
— A 57-year-old male and a 41-year-old male were arrested on the charges of retail theft in the 200 block of North Vine Street around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the report, the men entered the store and concealed a package of meat. They then attempted to leave the store without paying.
