Police blotter for Aug. 27, 2014

Champaign

 Theft was reported on the 300 block of E. Green St., Sunday around 11 a.m.

According to the report, the victim hosted a party at her home and left her bedroom door unlocked. The victim later discovered money and her cell phone were stolen from the bedroom. 

— Burglary was reported on the 900 block of Pomona Dr., Tuesday around 4 a.m.

According to the report, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence and stole his laptop computer.

— Battery was reported near Fourth and Kirby Streets, Saturday at around 4:30 a.m.

According to the report, a man reported that someone had attacked him while he was walking home from the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival. The man, who admitted to drinking heavily at the event, was uncertain of the exact location of the attack. He told police officers that three men had pulled up in a vehicle, attacked him from behind and stole his wallet and cellphone. He was later treated by medical personnel for bruises and a laceration to the forehead.

— Aggravated criminal sexual assault on the 1100 block of Garfield at 8 p.m. Monday.

According to the report, the victim claims she was sexually assaulted by the offenders. The offenders have not been located or identified at this time.
