Police blotter for Sept. 26, 2014

Champaign

— Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported at the Market Place Mall, 2000 N. Neil St., around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, a briefcase was taken from the victim’s vehicle.

— A telephone threat was reported in the 800 Block of Hollycrest Drive around 6 p.m. Monday.

According to the report, the victim received a threatening phone call.

— Burglary at a residential location was reported in the 1100 Block of West Church Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victims’ house through a window and stole a tablet device and an electronic gaming device.

University

— Theft was reported at the Starbucks located inside the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St. around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, the victim accidentally left her wallet on the counter. When she returned, the wallet was gone. The wallet contained a student ID, a driver’s license, $20, two debit cards and gift cards valued at more than $100.

Urbana

— Theft was reported in the 700 block of Colorado Avenue around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, sometime overnight an unknown offender removed the victim’s locked bike from a bike rack in front of her apartment complex.

— Criminal damage to property was reported in the 400 block of Indiana Avenue around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, unknown offenders damaged a railing on a structure at Carle Park.

— Theft was reported at Wesley Methodist Church, 1203 W. Green St., around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, an unknown offender took the church’s guitar without permission.
