Police blotter for Nov. 14, 2014

Champaign

— A 29-year-old male was arrested on the charge of theft at Walmart, 2610 N. Prospect Ave., around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, the suspect took merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying.

— Criminal damage to property was reported in the 1300 block of Hanover Drive around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, an unknown offender threw a rock through a window of the victim’s residence.

— Theft was reported at Applebee’s, 2121 N. Prospect Ave., around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, an unknown offender stole the victim’s wallet.

University

— Theft was reported at Willard Airport, 11 Airport Road, Savoy, around 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.

According to the report, a car was rented on Oct. 10 and expected to be returned on Oct. 17. As of Nov. 6, the car had not been returned. The estimated value of the car is $14,492.

Urbana

— Theft was reported in the 1500 block of East Florida Avenue around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, an unknown offender stole four Christmas trees from the victim’s closet within the past year.

— Criminal trespassing was reported in the 1100 block of Lanore Drive around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s unsecured vehicle and moved items around. The car’s passenger side window has been missing for months.

— Criminal damage and trespassing were reported in the 1800 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, a 25-year-old male entered the victim’s home through a window and stayed in the house while she was away for a month and a half. The offender pried open her mailbox and added his name in order to have his mail delivered.
