University students who are interested in joining the Illinois football team are encouraged to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday. 

The meeting will take place at 5 p.m. in the squad room in Memorial Stadium, located on the lower level of the football complex in the northeast tower. Members of head coach Tim Beckman’s staff will provide those in attendance with the information they will need to tryout.

In order to try out, a student must be currently enrolled full-time at the University and must show official documentation of having passed a physical exam within the past six months. Students can get a physical at the McKinley Health Center if needed. Students should also bring their University ID and are requested to show proof that they were NCAA Clearinghouse qualified after high school.
