Police blotter for March 18, 2015

Champaign

— A 19-year-old male was arrested on the charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of stolen property in the 200 block of East Springfield Avenue around 7 p.m. Monday.

According to the report, the officers responded to a call about a man with a gun.  

University

— Theft was reported at Foellinger Auditorium, 709 S. Mathews Ave., around 8 p.m. Sunday.

According to the report, a digital camera and lens was stolen after being left unattended for 10 minutes. They have a total estimated value of $1,600.   

Urbana

— Sexual assault was reported in the 2000 block of Fletcher Street, around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. 

According to the report, the victim was struck with a syringe containing an unknown substance by the offenders. The victim then had non-consensual sex with the offenders.

Retail theft was reported at Walmart, 100 S. High Cross Road, around 7 p.m. Sunday.

According to the report, the offender stole a shopping cart with more than $700 worth of merchandise.
