Women’s basketball adds graduate student

Thursday Illinois women’s basketball head coach Matt Bollant announced the addition of Ariel Davis to his team. Davis last played with the Illini in the 2012-2013 season, when she was a sophomore and was a member of the team’s practice squad as a freshman.

Davis is a graduate student, a Danville native and a graduate of Danville High School.

Football tryouts

Tim Beckman and the Illinois coaching staff will be holding a meeting for walk-on tryouts on Wednesday, Sept. 2. The tryouts will begin Thursday, Sept. 10.
