Champaign

Domestic battery was reported on the 300 block of North Neil Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Theft was reported at Village Pantry, 1201 N. Mattis Ave., around midnight Sunday. According to the report, the offender entered the business and took merchandise without paying for it.

Domestic battery and theft were reported on the 600 block of Marketview Drive around noon Sunday. According to the report, the victim reported being battered and having her phone taken by the offender. The battery could not be corroborated since the offender denied anything physical taking place. The offender was issued a City of Champaign notice to appear for theft.

An arrest was made on the charges of deceptive practices and theft at the Public Safety Building, 1110 W. Springfield Ave., around 6 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the suspect was identified as the person who sold a stolen watch to another student for $175 at an apartment complex Saturday.

Urbana

Theft was reported at Urbana Middle School, 1201 S. Vine St., around 2 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the offender took the victim’s property out of a locked locker without permission.

Theft was reported at Carle Hospital, 611 W. Park St., around 7 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim’s bicycle was stolen by an unknown offender.
