Trading Spaces Designer, Doug Wilson, featured at Assembly Hall

This year’s WCIA 3 Home & Garden Show will feature the Trading Spaces designer Doug Wilson.
Wilson will attend the show Saturday, March 27, presenting on the Busey Bank Home Improvement Theatre at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Autograph sessions will be available immediately following each presentation at Border Magic’s booth, Wilson’s sponsor.
Wilson’s presentation will tell the story of his struggles and success after moving to NYC to try his luck at acting, design, and television acclaim. Those attending will get an inside look into TLC’s “Trading Spaces”, “Moving Up” and the Hollywood buzz.
Doug Wilson is a designer, author, television showman and philanthropist. Raised five miles outside the town limits of Broadlands, Illinois, population 350, Wilson has claimed the purity and serenity of his childhood home inspires his melding organic elements with an American sense of style.
Wilson recently authored his home design book, Doug’s Rooms, and writes a regular design column in In Touch Weekly.
The WCIA 3 Home & Garden Show Assembly Hall will be held March 27-28, 2010. Doug Wilson will only be presenting March 27. Show hours are Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission and parking are free.
More than 150 exhibitors will showcase home improvement and landscaping products and WCIA 3 personalities will be broadcasting live from Assembly Hall. Guests will have the chance to win exclusive grand prize giveaways, including $4,000 worth of landscaping courtesy of Country Arbors Nursery on E. The Busey Bank Home Improvement Theatre will feature a variety of how-to seminars and MIX 94.5 and 92.5 The Chief will host the FAMILY FUN ZONE inside the arena.
