The event will take place on the Quad at 5 p.m., where male participants will walk a lap around the Quad in heels while women cheer them on.

According to the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes website, the organization was started in 2001 by Frank Baird. The mission of the organization is to educate communities on sexual violence and provide them with prevention strategies.

Donations collected at the event will benefit the local Rape Crisis Center.

A guest speaker will also be at the event, according to the press release. Jesse Pierce is a member of the Illinois coalition Against Sexual Assault, and will be speaking about the roles of men in putting an end to sexual violence.
