Some students choose not to participate in Unofficial

Thunderstorms put a damper on some students’ Unofficial plans, while other students chose not to participate regardless of the weather.

Ben Wooley, freshman in Engineering, decided to wear a green shirt but did not plan on participating.

“It’s kind of frowned upon, but wearing green still makes me feel festive, even without all the craziness,” Wooley said.

Megha Kilaru, sophomore in LAS, said she is not doing anything special for Unofficial.

“I saw a couple of kids walking around with flasks, but I’m just going to the movies and visiting a couple friends,” Kilaru said.

Mili Patel, sophomore in microbiology, said she doesn’t plan on celebrating but likes watching the drunk people.

“I planned to walk Green Street, like last year, but that doesn’t look like it will happen because of the weather,” Patel said.

Marci Sanchez, senior in LAS, said she is spending Unofficial in her apartment.

“The weather is so bad, I don’t know if any of the plans I had will happen. But there will plenty of drunk cooking,” Sanchez said.
