As New York models exit the Fashion Week runway, University students continue to showcase their fashion sense on the catwalk of Champaign-Urbana. Fabulous fashionistas have begun to draw inspiration from the changing season and are strutting their fall collections. Here are individual students found walking about campus, showcasing their unique style and serving as fashion inspiration.

*Daily Illini:* What inspires your fashion?
*Dawn Scanlon:* I really like Japan, how they dress … I just kind of go along and put stuff together myself.

*DS:* I really like the whole casual but business look.
*DI:* Where did you get this particular outfit?
*DS:* I got my shoes from JC Penny, my jacket from Sears and I got my tights from Target and just ripped them up myself.
*DI:* Any tips or fashion secrets?
*DS:* Just because it looks nice on someone else doesn’t mean it’s going to look nice on you. Just create your own style and go with it.
*DI:* What are important qualities you look for in your clothes?
*DS:* Nothing cheap, nothing sequins or anything; I hate sequins. And then calm colors, I guess.
*DI:* Any must-haves?
*DS:* My Ray-Bans.

*Daily Illini:* How would you describe your personal style?
*Supo Sanni:* My personal style? I guess I would describe it as just different and classy. I would say it’s more up-to-date, too. I try not to go with what the norm is; I try to be opposite of that.
*DI:* Favorite store?
*SS:* A place on campus would be Urban. I shop there a lot.
*DI:* Where did you get this particular outfit?
*SS:* I got the shorts from Urban, the shirt from Armani Exchange and the cardigan and book bag were from Urban Outfitters too.
*DI:* Any tips or fashion secrets?
*SS:* I think accessories make the outfit.
*DI:* What are important qualities you look for in your clothes?
*SS:* Just comfort and fit.
*DI:* Any must-haves?
*SS:* I like wearing cargo shorts.
