Starting Thursday, WILL-FM 90.9 will add National Public Radio’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered to its program line-up. Listeners in communities west of Champaign and southwest Champaign are unable to receive the WILL-AM signal.
In a press release, Mark Leonard, general manager of Illinois Public Media said because of WILL-AM’s limited coverage area to the west and the fact that WILL-AM must reduce power after dark, many potential listeners cannot receive WILL’s news programming.
Morning Edition will air from 6-9 a.m. weekdays and 7-9 a.m. on weekends. All Things Considered will from 5-7 p.m. weekdays and 4-5 p.m. on weekends.
WILL-AM will continue to broadcast Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
