Champaign

A 22-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday morning for driving without a license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at the 1500 block of North Neil Street.

According to a police report, police initially stopped the man for not having a rear registration light.

A 36-year-old man was arrested for trespassing and a 24-year-old man was arrested for damaging property at the corner of Bradley and McKinley Avenues on Thursday.

According to a police report, the 24-year-old man damaged a window and received a notice to appear in court.

A 26-year-old man was arrested for resisting an officer and issued a ticket for not having a light on his bike at the intersection of North Market and Garwood Streets early Thursday night.

According to a police report, the suspect disobeyed emergency lights and verbal commands to stop. He was arrested and taken to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.

A 42-year-old Rantoul, Ill., man reported criminal damage to his property at the 200 block of North First Street early Thursday morning.

According to a police report, an unknown suspect slashed both tires on the passenger side of his vehicle.

An unknown suspect entered the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity house, 47 E. Chalmers St., and stole the house picture early Thursday morning.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

A 35-year-old woman reported her cellular phone stolen at the 1100 block of North Prospect Avenue on Wednesday evening. No suspects had been found at the time of the report.

Urbana

General Auto Market, 1101 N. Cunningham Ave., reported three dealer license plates lost or stolen Thursday morning. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

A 19-year-old woman reported criminal damage to her property Thursday afternoon at the 2000 block of Vawter Street.

According to a police report, the woman found the door to her residence, the door to her vehicle and her mailbox covered by a grease-like substance.

A 23-year old woman reported a 35-year-old man trespassed on her property and battered her at the 800 block of Kerr Avenue early Thursday morning.

According to a police report, the unknown offender entered her residence without authority. The offender battered the victim, left the residence and could not be found.
