Champaign

A 39-year-old man was arrested for hitting a 33-year-old woman with a stick at the 400 block of Beardsley Avenue Monday afternoon.

According to a police report, the man came to the door and asked for the 33-year-old woman. The woman came to the door and the man attacked her with a large stick.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for criminal damage to property at the 900 block of First Street Monday evening.

According to a police report, the suspect forced open the victim’s apartment door. Then the victim chased after the suspect, and three other men chased the suspect. The suspect was battered by one of the other men after he caught him.

A 35-year-old woman was ticketed for allowing her dog to run free at the 200 block of Arcadia Drive Monday evening.

According to a police report, a 40-year-old woman and 42-year-old man were walking their dog when the suspect’s dog ran after them. The victims kicked the dog and the dog ran away.

A 20-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman reported that their car windows were broken at the 300 block of Daniel Street Tuesday night.

According to a police report, an unknown suspect threw beer bottles at two cars parked in an apartment parking garage.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

The third-floor windows of a building were damaged at the 500 block of Fourth Street Tuesday night.

According to a police report, an unknown subject threw a piece of concrete through a third floor window.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Urbana

An eight-year-old boy was transferred to a medical facility Tuesday after his mother flagged down police officers at the 100 block of University Avenue.

According to a police report, the child became upset while his mother was driving and began throwing items at her. The child also tried to exit the vehicle.

A 29-year-old woman reported her wallet stolen from her shopping cart Tuesday evening at the 1800 block of Philo Road.

According to a police report, the victim was shopping the unknown suspect stole her wallet from her purse that was on the shopping cart.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

A 19-year-old woman reported disorderly conduct at the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue early Wednesday morning.

According to a police report, unknown offenders were banging on the victims’ windows with baseball bats. The suspects left the scene before officers arrived.
