ON-AIR: University offers help for finals stress

Many students feel weighed down by stress as they try to study for finals. But Wellness Promotion Specialist Jennifer Carson students can reduce their stress levels by taking advantage of stress relieving events offered by the University before and during finals week.

“Available now is our relaxation room at the Oasis that takes students through a 20-minute audio visual guided imagery experience while also going through muscle relaxation exercise. And starting next week, we’ll have stress relief packs available for students. We only have 400 in quantity so it is first come first serve.”

The relaxation sessions are offered every 30 minutes on Monday through Friday from 10 to 8, and Saturdays from 12 to 6. Stress relief packs will be distributed at the Oasis, Health Resource Center, McKinley Health center and Undergraduate Library.
