  • A 15-year-old boy reported theft at Urbana High School, 1002 S. Race St., Thursday afternoon.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender stole his shoes and backpack.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • Schnucks, 200 N. Vine St., reported retail theft Wednesday afternoon.

    According to a police report, a 59-year-old man was stopped for shoplifting rib eye steaks. A short time later, he stated he was having chest pains and was taken to the hospital. The man was still hospitalized as of Thursday.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 38-year-old man and a 46-year-old man reported a vicious dog at the 1100 block of Austin Drive Tuesday afternoon.

    According to a police report, the men were attacked by a dog as they walked their dogs down the street. Officers were unable to locate the offending animal.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 29-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman reported aggravated battery at Urbana Middle School, 1201 S. Vine St., Thursday morning.

    According to a police report, a 12-year-old girl was being disruptive in the hallway of the school. She threw objects at the man and woman, who were both teachers, and struck them. The girl also made allegations that she was being mistreated by the teachers.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 45-year-old man was arrested for violation of bail bond and burglary at Wal-Mart, 100 S. High Cross Rd., Friday evening.

    According to a police report, the man and an unknown offender entered the business with the intent to remove merchandise from store shelves and return them for refunds. The man was stopped and admitted involvement. The unknown offender left the store and was not found.

  • A 23-year-old man reported battery at Tod and John’s, 201 N. Broadway Ave., late Friday evening.

    According to a police report, the man and an unknown offender were involved in a verbal argument at the bar. The offender battered the man and fled.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 21-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing at Holiday Inn Express, 1001 Killarney St., Saturday morning.

    According to a police report, the man was intoxicated and was escorted off the property of the hotel after causing problems for the staff. He was repeatedly warned to leave and not return. The man came back and pounded on doors, alarming a clerk.

  • Circle K, 1809 N. Cunningham Ave., reported retail theft Friday afternoon.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender pumped gas into his vehicle and left without paying.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 23-year-old man reported theft at the Canopy Club, 708 S. Goodwin St., Saturday afternoon.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender stole the man’s cell phone early Friday morning.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 26-year-old woman reported a stray dog running at large at the 2800 block of South Race Street Saturday morning.

    According to a police report, while a 72-year-old man was allowing his dog to run in the park without a leash, the woman’s dog fought with the man’s dog. Neither dog was injured.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 20-year-old man was arrested for reckless driving at Holiday Inn Express, 1001 Killarney St., early Sunday morning.

    According to a police report, police observed the man driving recklessly in the parking lot of the hotel.

  • A 22-year-old man was arrested on drug and alcohol related charges at the intersection of Lincoln and Michigan avenues early Saturday morning.

    According to a police report, the man’s vehicle was stopped for having no headlights. The man was driving on expired registration and was confused. He had no valid driver’s license and failed a field sobriety test.

  • A 32-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were arrested for driving with a revoked license and illegal transportation of liquor at the intersection of University Avenue and Race Street early Saturday morning.

    According to a police report, police responded to a fight at a local bar. A vehicle thought to be involved was stopped. The driver of the vehicle had a revoked driver’s license and a warrant.

  • A 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman reported disorderly conduct at Perkins Family Restaurant, 1214 W. University Ave., Friday afternoon.

    According to a police report, a 29-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct at the restaurant.
