Public health district to hold board meeting

By Paolo Cisneros

The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District Board of Health will hold a study session Feb. 26 at 9:30 a.m. in their facility’s main conference room.

Topic on the agenda include the upcoming pandemic flu training workshop, professional licensing fees, and the proposal to purchase a new seven-passenger elevator among others.

Proposed leasing agreements for space in the district’s facility will also be discussed.

“We have about 15,000 square feet of space to lease out, and so we’re looking into that,” said Julie Pryde, acting public health administrator.

If approved, the space will most likely go to a community mental health service, Pryde added.
