Secretary of State Jesse White’s office came to the Illini Union on Wednesday to offer a variety of driver and vehicle services for one day to University of Illinois students and staff.

The mobile office set up shop on the third floor of the Union to allow University students and staff to renew their driver’s licenses, purchase license plate stickers, and register to be an organ donor among other things.

“The idea was to bring our services closer to the public,” said David Drucker, a press secretary for the Secretary of State.

117 people were served at the Illini Union on Wednesday. The Secretary of State’s Office plans to come again to campus on March 26 and April 30 to offer the same driver and vehicle services to University students and staff.
