No one was seriously injured in a two vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Green and Fifth streets, according to police.

A station wagon hit the back of a landscaping truck at 3:56 p.m. when John Williams, 23, of Danville failed to yield for Ashley Higgins, junior in LAS, who was behind the wheel of the station wagon, as she attempted to turn from Green Street to Fifth Street.

“I don’t think he could see me because of all the traffic,” Higgins said.

Higgins said her airbag deployed because she attempted to swerve away from the truck.

Higgins received medical attention from paramedics and only suffered minor injuries.

Williams said the intersection was congested and he saw Higgins’ vehicle moving slowly.

Higgins had one passenger, Christine O’Connor, sophmore in LAS, and Williams had two passengers.
