Driver and vehicle renewal services offered on campus

Secretary of State Jesse White is reminding University students, faculty and staff that they may obtain certain driver and vehicle services on campus at the Illini Union this Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

According to a press release, the services provided include renewal of State I.D. or Driver’s license, purchase annual vehicle license plate sticker, register to be an organ and tissue donor and other transactions. Secretary of State employees will be on hand to renew, replace or correct driver’s licenses and state I.D. cards.

“This is the fourth year of this partnership between the Secretary of State’s Office and the University of Illinois,” said White in the press release. “This is a great example of how my office can work with public and private institutions to make these transactions more convenient.”

Acceptable forms of payment include personal checks, cash, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit and debit cards.

The same services will be offered Nov. 17, Jan. 28 2009, Feb. 25 2009, Mar. 18, 2009, Apr. 22, 2009.
