Champaign

  • Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported at the 500 block of West Beardsley Avenue on Tuesday morning.

    According to the police report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s vehicle and stole her purse.

  • A 19-year-old woman was arrested at Sally Beauty Supply, 2016 N. Prospect Ave., on Tuesday afternoon.

    According to the police report, the offender was arrested for taking hair extensions from the store without paying for them.

  • n A 19-year-old man was arrested at the 900 block of South Fourth Street on Wednesday morning.

    According to the police report, the offender was spotted breaking a window and then fled from officers. Officials charged him with resisting and obstructing an officer.

  • An 18-year-old man was arrested at CVS Pharmacy, 107 W. Green St., on Tuesday night.

    According to the police report, the offender attempted to steal liquor from the business. He was also given a trespassing notice.

    According to the police report, an unknown offender damaged the victim’s vehicle antenna.

Urbana

  • Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported at the 600 block of Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

    According to the police report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole his handicap placard.

  • A 34-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were arrested at the Hanford Inn, 2408 Cunningham Ave., on Tuesday morning.

    According to the police report, officials were called to the hotel to remove the offenders because they had not been paying their bill. The woman was found to have an in-state warrant for her arrest, the man was found to be in possession of drug equipment and attempted to dispose of them. He was charged with possession of illegal drug equipment, obstructing justice and theft of labor services.

University

  • Theft was reported at the Outdoor Center Fields basketball courts in the 1200 block of South Oak Street on Tuesday evening.

    According to the police report, an unknown offender stole the victim’s cell phone and accompanying case.

  • Theft and fraud were reported at Babcock Hall, 1002 College Court, on Monday.

    According to the police report, an unknown offender stole the victim’s debit card and PIN number from an unlocked room. A counterfeit check was deposited into the account and money was withdrawn. The account holder’s signature was forged and the account is now overdrawn.
