The Campus Areas Transportation Study (CATS) Education Subcommittee will be holding a ‘Light the Night’ Bike Light Distribution Campaign event.

Volunteers and law enforcement will be distributing and installing bike lights Sept. 30 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The distribution will take place near the Alma Mater on Wright and Green Streets and the corner of Lincoln and Illinois Avenues near Illinois Street Residence Hall.

CAPS is sponsoring this campaign to educate bicyclists about the laws in place for bikes to have lights at night and to make sure they are staying safe.

If bad weather is in store for Sept. 30, the distribution will be rescheduled for Oct. at the same time and places.
