Guest Mollie Stone will teach a South African Choral Workshop 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Main Lounge of Allen Hall, a press release said.

Stone provides workshops on South African choral music at universities, schools, children choirs and communit choirs nationwide. She will teach songs with instructions on vocal tone, pronunciation and dance movements. The purpose of learning these elements of the song is to understand how music can be directly connected to political and social change.

Participants will experience different South African languages and hear a range of traditional folk songs, political songs, religious songs, and songs related to the HIV/AIDS struggle in South Africa.
