Champaign

• Burglary and criminal damage to property were reported around 7:30 a.m. Monday in the 2500 block of North Mattis Avenue. 

According to the report, an unknown offender attempted to enter by prying open a window but was not successful.

• Theft was reported Monday around 1:30 p.m. in the 100 block of North First Street.

According to the report, the suspect stole a trash can from the business but was not located.

Urbana

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Saturday at approximately 9:40 p.m. in the 2400 block of Prairie Green Drive.

According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took currency.

• Burglary and criminal damage to property was reported around 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Canopy Club at 708 S. Goodwin Ave. 

According to the report, unknown offenders forced entry to the business by throwing a rock through a glass door and destroyed cash registers looking for money but did not find any.
