Champaign

Property damage was reported on the 1100 block of North McKinley Avenue around 10:50 a.m. on March 13. According to the report, the suspects spray painted the victims’ house.

Battery was reported at the Pavilion, 809 W. Church St. around 11:18 a.m. Monday. According to the report, the suspect pushed the victim and the victim hit their head off a wall. The suspect then tried to batter the victim a second time.

Retail theft was reported at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 2000 N. Neil St. around 4:20 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the suspect concealed two items and was able to pass all points of purchase but later dropped items and ran from store personnel. The suspect is still unknown.

University

A University van has been reported stolen sometime between March 7 to March 13 from a parking lot at 1501 S. Oak St.

An arrest was made near Fourth and Hill streets around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the 24-year-old male failed to appear in court and was the passenger of a vehicle pulled over for a broken headlight.

Unwanted and threatening messages were reported around 2:30 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim knew the person who was sending the messages.  

Urbana

A domestic dispute was reported on the 700 block of West Elm Street around 12:10 a.m. Tuesday . According to the report, the offender and victim lived together and were in a relationship when an argument broke out over the ending of their relationship.The offender left the area when officers arrived on scene but later called and spoke with police.

An arrest was made near Bradley Avenue and Country Club Road around 10 p.m. Monday for operating an uninsured motor vehicle without a valid license.

An arrest was made near the 400 block of South Vine Street around 1 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the offender has a out-of-state warrant and arrived at the station after being called by the police.
