Tornado warning in effect in Champaign area Tuesday morning

An Illini Alert was sent out on Tuesday around 11:07 a.m. informing recipients of an active tornado warning, and people in the area should take shelter immediately.
The Illini Alert also said more information will be available soon.
Update: Around 11:22 a.m., an Illini Alert was sent out to inform recipients that the tornado threat has passed.
