Verified COVID-19 vaccination records replace testing

The University announced via Massmail that vaccination record cards can now replace COVID-19 on-campus testing starting Monday.
Students should check their status on the Safer Illinois app to see their vaccination approval status for the upcoming semester.
Individuals vaccinated in Illinois but who haven’t uploaded their vaccination record cards should check whether their records have been verified on their MyMcKinley Portal and view their history for a list of vaccination records. The verification process will take 4-6 weeks upon arrival.
Individuals vaccinated outside the state of Illinois and abroad and who haven’t uploaded their vaccination records should upload their cards onto the COVID-19 Vaccine Record Consent Form on the MyMcKinley Portal. The process may take three weeks for McKinley Health center to process and verify in the University databases.
Students who have not been vaccinated for COVID-19 should find available appointments on vaccinefinder.org if possible but will still be required to use the on-campus COVID-19 testing until the vaccine records have been verified.

“In order to implement COVID-related guidelines and policies affecting University operations, supervisors may ask students if they are fully vaccinated,” said Chancellor Robert Jones in the Massmail. “But no one should ask to see proof of vaccination in someone’s Safer Illinois app.”
