On Tuesday afternoon, an armed carjacking occurred at the intersection of Second and Chalmers streets. The suspects were arrested within the hour and the situation has been resolved, according to an Illini Alert.

An Illini-Alert was sent at 3:54 p.m., urging people to use caution and avoid the area.

Another Illini-Alert was sent at 4:10 p.m., stating that the suspects left the area and it was safe to resume normal activities.
