A University student was sexually assaulted either Friday or Saturday, according to an email sent out to the University’s student body.

The victim knew the person who sexually assaulted them, the email said. The crime happened at a fraternity house.

The email said the details of the victim and fraternity were withheld to protect the person’s identity.

As part of the Campus Safety Notice system, the email warns students of crimes on campus property.

According to the email, 20% of women and 6% of men experience sexual assault or attempted sexual assault during their time in college.
