On Monday, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Electrical & Computer Engineering department head Bruce Hajek sent an email to the ECE community stating that senior Xin-Chen Huang had died three days ago.
Xin-Chen Huang, also known as Isabella, was a senior in Engineering anticipating graduation in May. She also served as an undergraduate course assistant for the course ECE 391.
The email stated that details of a memorial service will be shared whenever they are received.

Another email was sent this afternoon by Hajek containing an obituary and information about the funeral service for Huang. Her father has provided the information and has consented for it to be shared widely.
The memorial service will be held this Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Living Word Lutheran Church in Orland Park, Illinois. Visitation will be held at the same day and place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
