Champaign Park District has announced that the Dodds Tennis Center will remain open throughout the summer, extending operations beyond its usual mid-May closure.
The Dodds Tennis Center features six indoor courts, offering patrons a chance to escape the heat and enjoy a climate-controlled space for summer tennis, maintained through natural airflow.
Historically, the center has only been open during the winter, but this year it will continue operations until early September — using natural airflow to cool the courts.
The center will be open for court time reservations on Mondays from 7:30 a.m. to noon, as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 10 p.m.
Champaign Park District officials said that the center will also be open during Monday afternoons from 12 to 1:30 p.m. for its Lunch Club Workout.
