The restaurant has been identified as the Black Dog Smoke & Ale House, a barbecue restaurant in Champaign.
Black Dog’s co-owner Mike Cochran told WCIA the location will be closed for several days while the damage continues to be assessed. Meanwhile, some of the restaurant’s food has been moved to its Urbana location, which remains open, and additional supplies are being donated to the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen to avoid waste.
