The UIPD sent out a campus-wide safety notice at 8:16 p.m. to alert students of a burglary that occurred on Sunday at 2 a.m.
The incident took place at a fraternity house in the 1100 block of Fourth Street in Champaign, according to the email. Two male subjects were reported wandering inside the residence.
“When the two males were confronted and asked to leave the house they became aggressive with the residents and one of the residents was battered,” the email said.
The males, whose identities are unknown, were escorted out of the residence. There was no indication the subjects entered the building with force.
“University Police officers are patrolling the campus area,” the email said.
