Parkland officials are warning community members to beware of solicitors. Two white men appearing to be college age have been going door to door claiming they are raising money for a study abroad trip.

Chief of Police and Public Safety Director for Parkland College Von Young wants to make residents aware.

“They have no identification showing them as Parkland students and we have no one in the community from Parkland soliciting for anything.”

If these men approach you do not let them into your home and ask to see Champaign’s required solicitor license. Use good judgement and report any incidents to the police.
