Chodzko-Zajko appointed as dean of University's Graduate College

Wojtek J. Chodzko-Zajko has been appointed as the new dean of the University’s Graduate College.

The appointment was announced in a press release from the University on Wednesday. Chodzko-Zjako has been the head of the kinesiology and community health department at the University since 2005, and was also the president of the American Kinesiology Association. If approved by the Board of Trustees, he will start on Aug. 16.

After receiving his bachelor’s in education from the University of London in 1979, he received his Ph.D in exercise physiology from Purdue University in 1984. Chodzko-Zajko has been a faculty member at the University for 15 years and in 2013, he was named the third Shahid and Ann Carlson Khan Professor of Kinesiology and Community Health.

Chodzko- Zajko will replace interim dean Sarah T. Lubienski, a professor of curriculum and instruction.
