Police blotter for September 12, 2016

Theft was reported at Applebee’s, 2121 N. Prospect Ave., around 10:00  p.m. Thursday.

According to the report, the victim reported that her cell phone was stolen from the restroom of the restaurant.

Theft and criminal damage to property was reported at Sigma Alpha Epsilon, 211 E. Daniel St., around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, unknown offenders stole the lion statue from outside the fraternity. The statue was later located, but found to be damaged.

Theft was reported in the 800 block of West Green Street around 6 p.m. Friday.

According to the report, an unknown offender stole money from the victim’s purse. The offender has not been located or identified.

An 18-year-old female was arrested on the charge of theft at Walmart, 100 S. High Cross Rd., 12:30 p.m. Friday.

According to the report, a loss prevention officer witnessed the offender attempting to leave the store with what appeared to be unpaid merchandise.

After reviewing security footage, the officer confirmed the theft and detained the offender in the parking lot.
