Champaign

Battery was reported at the Illini Inn, 901 S. Fourth St., around 1 a.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim was punched by an unknown offender.

Violation of order protection was reported on the 800 block of West Church Street around 8 a.m. Thursday. According to the report, the offender liked the victim’s photos on Instagram after being served with an order of protection. At this time, the offender has not been located and no arrests have been made.

Burglary was reported on the 400 block of East University Avenue around 10:45 a.m. Friday. According to the report, the victim left his vehicle unlocked. When he returned to it, cash was missing.

University

An Illinois notice to appear in court for theft was issued at Illinois Terminal, 45 E. University Ave., around 11:15 p.m. Friday. According to the report, the offender who stole a cellphone at the Armory, 505 E. Armory Ave., was found. The offender sold the cellphone to an automated machine that exchanges used cellphones for cash at Market Place Shopping Center, 2000 N. Neil St.

Theft was reported at Krannert Art Museum, 500 E. Peabody Dr., around 2 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, security personnel reported two men had stolen a museum-owned wheelchair with an estimated value of $200.

An arrest was made on the charge of possessing a fraudulent identification card near Green and Third Streets around 1:45 a.m. Thursday. According to the report, police initially were called on a report of a bar fight in the vicinity. The suspect provided the fake identification card to police while being questioned about his involvement in the fight.

Urbana

Armed robbery was reported on the 800 block of Green Street around 10 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender took property from the victim by putting a knife to the victim’s throat.

Aggravated battery was reported on the 1000 block of Race Street around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, several unknown offenders battered the victim with a baseball bat.

Theft was reported on the 400 block of Michigan Avenue around 1 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, an unknown offender removed a package not belonging to him from an apartment common area. Property management was able to recover the package and turn it over to the police. The contents were returned to the victim and the packaging was submitted to evidence for processing.
