Champaign

Theft was reported at Menards, 620 W. Town Center Blvd., around 10:30 a.m. Monday. According to the report, a male suspect concealed one electronic merchandise on his person and left the store without paying for the item. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 100 block of East Daniel Street Tuesday. According to the report, an unknown subject broke a window on the first floor of the building.

Identity theft was reported on the 2100 block of West White Street around 10:30 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, a telephone account was made in the victim’s name a year ago on Jan. 8, 2018. The victim delayed reporting. There is no suspect information.

Fraudulent charges were reported around 12:30 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim lost his wallet containing a credit card while bicycling between his home in Urbana and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Building, 306 N. Wright St., Urbana. The victim was informed about fraudulent charges on his credit card. 

Theft was reported at the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Drive, around 5 p.m. on Dec. 17. According to the report, the victim’s wallet contained cash inside and was left unattended on an exercise machine. The wallet was later returned to the front desk without the cash.
