Champaign

Theft was reported at Macy’s, 2000 N. Neil St., around 8 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, a suspect stole merchandise from the store.

Criminal damage to property was reported at Pavilion Foundation School, 810 W. Church St., around 10 a.m. Thursday. According to the report, the suspect damaged property in the building and threatened staff. The suspect was taken to the county jail.

Theft was reported at Kohl’s, 109 Convenience Center Road, around 11 a.m. Thursday. According to the report, a suspect was arrested for shoplifting.

Theft was reported at the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Drive, around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the student reported his credit card and clothing items were stolen. The items had an estimated value of $590 and were originally in an unlocked locker.

Urbana

A reckless discharge of a firearm was reported on the 800 block of Matthews Avenue, around 5 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown suspect fired at an unoccupied vehicle, causing damage.

Armed robbery was reported on the 2000 block of Philo Street, around 8 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the offender battered the victim with a handgun and demanded property. The victim then tried to flee in a vehicle but crashed when the offender pointed the gun at him again. Another fight for the gun ensued and a round was fired. The victim took the gun from the offender, who ran on foot. The victim was detained, interviewed and later released.
