An arrest was made on the charge of theft at Kohl’s, 109 Convenience Center Road, around 4:30 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the suspect attempted to steal a jacket from the establishment but was stopped by loss prevention.

Theft was reported on the 400 block of Corey Lane around 7:30 a.m. Thursday. According to the report, an individual reported he’d lost his credit card and later discovered fraudulent charges on his account.

Theft was reported at Walmart, 2610 N. Prospect Ave., around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, two offenders were stopped by loss prevention and were discovered to have stolen nine items of cosmetics and toiletries.

Urbana

An arrest was made on the charges of possession of a controlled substance on the 1700 block of Cunningham Avenue around 8:30 a.m. Thursday. According to the report, upon approaching the vehicle during a traffic stop, the officer smelled raw cannabis emanating from the vehicle. Both the front seat passenger and driver were found to have cannabis in their possession.

Driving under a revoked license was reported on the 200 block of North Vine Street around 10 a.m. Thursday. According to the report, the offender was operating a vehicle on a public roadway while his Illinois license was revoked and he had no proof of insurance.

Theft was reported at Walmart, 100 S. High Cross Road, around noon Thursday. According to the report, the victim left his cellphone in a public place during work, where it was stolen by an unknown offender.
